What Do I Need to Start?
Short answer: Not much. Let’s break it down.

“Nope. I use a basic domestic machine — sometimes £100 or less. You don’t need an overlocker, embroidery mode, or anything fancy. (You’ll get to that later)
If it has a straight stitch, you’re set.

Fabric scissors
Thread
Measuring tape
Pins or clips
Chalk or tailor’s pencil
That’s it. Don’t go overboard — start small and build up.”

“100% yes. In fact, I recommend it. Use old clothes, curtains, or leftover pieces to test things out before cutting your final fabric.”

Make sure your printer is set to “Actual Size” or 100% — don’t shrink to fit.
Then stick the pages together using the tile markers. It’s easier than you think.

Start with something medium weight — canvas, drill, or cotton twill work great. Avoid stretchy stuff until you’re more confident.
