Independent Design Studio, Est. 2019

Clothing made with meaning — rooted in history, story, and place. All pieces are handmade in the South of England using a slow, thoughtful process.

Roughcut is a one-person design studio focused on creating handmade garments inspired by history, heritage, and the places I travel through.

Every item is cut, sewn, and finished in-house — with no outsourcing, no mass production, and no seasonal collections.

Instead, I build garments project by project — each one tied to a story, artwork, or specific location. Whether it’s a jacket based on Dante’s Inferno or a bag made from old maps, every Roughcut piece is designed to feel like a wearable artefact.

Everything is made slowly, with care, using custom-printed textiles, layered detailing, and traditional construction techniques.

What Is Roughcut?

Roughcut pieces are either one-of-one or made to order.

Every garment is built to last — and made to mean something.
